God’s word, or scripture, is inspired by God.

(2 Tim 3:16 KJV)  All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

(2 Tim 3:17 KJV)  That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Some say that the prophets put the prophecies in their own words, and therefore are not inspired.

2 Pet 1:19 KJV)  We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

The prophets did not have it reveled unto them so they could not have put it in their own words.

God preserves His word.

(Psa 12:6 KJV)  The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

(Prov 30:5 KJV)  Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

(Prov 30:6 KJV)  Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

(Mat 24:35 KJV)  Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

The Holy Spirit will guide the Christian into all truth.

Do NOT Need self appointed dictator, guru, priests, etc.

(2 Timothy 2:5-6 For there is one God, and one mediator between god and men,

the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.)

        But how do we know if the Holy Ghost/spirit is speaking to us or another Ghost/spirit?

        The Bible does say to try the spirits whether they are of God or not.

(1 John 4:1 KJV)  Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

(1 John 4:2 KJV)  Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

(1 John 4:3 KJV)  And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

(1 John 4:4 KJV)  Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Another way to try the spirits is to see whether it testifies of Christ and Christ will never disagree with His own words in scripture. 

(John 15:25 KJV)  But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.

---(John 15:26 KJV)  But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

(John 15:27 KJV)  And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.

The Holy  (John 16:13 KJV)  Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.

(John 16:14 KJV)  He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you.

 (John 16:15 KJV)  All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall show it unto you.
